The 3rd installment
For those of you that would like some intensely attractive picture frame ideas, I’ve got just the ticket. I’m going to lay out 2 ideas that are easily modifiable, so you can feel free to change up the procedure any way you want and most likely still end up with a great looking final piece. The first idea involves the use of a single picture, blown up to a size greater than the size of the picture frame you’re creating. First, get a very exceptionally high quality and high shine printout of an image you’d like to use as the picture frame. I like to use images of the Arctic since they are usually white and very high contrast against dark images that are set into the frame. Once you have this high quality image printed out on paper, place it over top of the frame in question. At this point, you will want to mark the areas where the frame and picture match up. Now take the image off the frame and cut out the frame’s outline. You will be left with an image that is continuous and unimpaired around the frame, but the center of the image is gone. This may sound farfetched but it actually will work very well and creates a brilliant contrasting effect when done right. The last one I did of this sort was using that Arctic background I discussed and a picture of my car against a dark woods background. It was one of the most beautiful frames I’ve ever made. The next idea is not much more difficult than the last, but will also ask for some effort. Have you ever came across a song that gets stuck in your head? That is a rhetorical question…of course you have! Simply find the lyrics of that song, choose you’re favorite 4 lines that are consecutive (usually the chorus) and print them out. The type size must be large enough to be readable but also tiny enough to fit one line on each side. You will most likely need different font sizes for each side of the picture frame, but this will make it look more unbalanced and bespoke. I made a frame using the lyrics from “Avicii - Fade Into Darkness” and it turned out great, my friends compliment it all the time and call me an “avicii fanboy”…whatever that is! Now take these picture frame ideas and create your own wonderful works of art! Remember, everything worthwhile takes time to create so don't rush. Also, don't forget to add your own personalized touch to everything you create!
